AEGON wins three European Pensions Awards

July 10, 2009

AEGON’s reputation as one of Europe’s leading pension providers has been confirmed with six nominations and three awards for this year’s European Pensions Awards.

AEGON was announced as Multi-Manager of the Year and Pension Scheme Administrator of the Year. AEGON’s Herman Kappelle was announced as European Pensions Personality of the Year.

On 9 July 2009 TKP Investments, a full subsidiary of AEGON, was announced as the winner of the Multi-Manager of the Year Award at the awards gala in London. In 2008 TKP Investments also won this award . The roles of the multi-manager and the manager of manager have become essential in the European Pensions space, helping European pension funds find the most appropriate managers to meet their needs from a range of offerings around the world.

In addition, TKP Pensions, a full subsidiary of AEGON, has won the Pension Scheme Administrator of the Year Award. The key role of the administrator is often overlooked but without an excellent administration service the pension fund member could not receive the level of service they deserve. This award recognises those administration firms that have gone beyond the minimum standards required to offer a truly value added service to their clients.

Finally, Herman Kappelle, Professor of Tax Law on Pensions and Director of AEGON Adfis was announced as European Pensions Personality of the Year. This award recognises those individuals that have truly made their mark in the European pensions space in recent years.
