AEGON’s reputation as one of Europe’s leading pension providers has been confirmed with seven nominations and four awards for this year’s European Pensions Awards.
AEGON Global Pensions won two prizes – Pension Provider of the Year and Pooling Award of the Year. AEGON subsidiary TKP won two prizes – Fiduciary Management Firm of the Year and, for the third year running, the Multi-Manager of the Year Award. In 2009, AEGON won three awards.
Frans van der Horst, Managing Director of AEGON Global Pensions says: ‘Companies are increasingly looking to consolidate and centralise their pension activities around the world. For this reason, AEGON Global Pensions has developed a number of advanced national and international pension solutions, including AEGON’s unique multiclient asset pooling solution. These awards recognise our capabilities and expertise in European pensions provision and confirm the value of our groundbreaking off-the-shelf asset pooling solution.’
The awards ceremony took place on 1 July in London. Ruby Wax presented the awards. On behalf of AEGON Global Pensions, International Sales Manager Iain Stringer collected two awards. Roelie van Wijk and Coos Luning of TKP collected the other two awards.
The European Pensions Awards are an initiative of the European Pensions magazine. The awards were started in 2008 in order to recognise exceptional performance in pensions provision in Europe. The awards are open to all parties involved in providing pensions and supporting pension funds, including asset managers, consultants and pension providers.
