AEGON first entered Central & Eastern Europe in 1992, when the company bought Állami Biztosító, Hungary’s former state-owned insurer. Since 1992, AEGON has pushed out into new markets: first into Slovakia, then the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania and most recently Turkey.
